We are thrilled to kick off the 2026 Avant Management Program (AMP) - an incredible opportunity to grow, lead, and make an impact from day one!

The AMP is a 12-month, immersive development program designed to build future leaders across the organization. Participants rotate through four core teams: Product Management, Risk (Fraud & Collections), Finance, and Compliance - with each rotation lasting 12 to 15 weeks. The AMP provides deep, hands-on exposure to the business, enabling participants to strengthen decision-making, assess process improvement opportunities, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive outcomes.

From day one, you’ll tackle high-value problems, launch new technologies, analyze data to improve Avant’s products, and deliver measurable impact on profitability. You’ll work closely with and present your work to senior leadership. The goal of the AMP is to develop high-potential talent who can manage complex, high-priority initiatives and, with strong performance, advance into roles with increasing leadership responsibilities, including managing individuals and eventually teams.


What You’ll Do at Avant:

Across all rotations:

  • Contribute to meaningful projects within each core team, gaining firsthand experience and subject matter expertise in product development, risk strategy, financial decisioning, and regulatory compliance.

  • Analyze data, identify trends, and generate insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define problems, develop solutions, and drive results.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations on project outcomes, recommendations and business impact to senior leaders.

  • Build an in-depth understanding of Avant’s operations, systems, and customer journey.

  • Participate in leadership development sessions, mentorship meetings, and program check-ins.

Rotation-specific contributions may include:

  • Product P&L:

    • Dive deep into one of Avant’s three product lines: Card & Loan to understand how Avant acquires customers, sets pricing, and drives growth.

    • Support roadmap development, user research, design and KPI tracking.

  • Risk (Fraud & Collections):

    • Develop rules and features to detect and prevent fraud, partner with data science on model features, improve collections segmentation and dialer strategies; analyze risk performance and loss trends.

  • Finance (FP&A & Strategy):

    • Build driver‑based forecasts; analyze unit economics and funding costs; evaluate new product/market opportunities; prepare materials for leadership and partners.

  • Compliance:

    • Support control testing; help operationalize regulatory requirements & assist with issue remediation in alignment with legal requirements.

Why you’re a fit at Avant:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or similar field of study

  • 2+ years experience in process improvement, management consulting, and/or data analytics

  • SQL and/or python skills a plus

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Track record of launching new projects while balancing business,. technical, and time constraints

  • Proven success coordinating across cross‑functional teams

This role is based on our downtown Chicago Office, located in the Merchandise Mart. We highly value collaboration and our hybrid schedule (M, T, Th in-office) enables flexibility to balance work and individual priorities.

Compensation Range:

The base salary range for this job is USD $80,000 - USD $115,000/ Year

Employees new to Avant typically come in below the midpoint of the pay range. The compensation range is based on the level outlined in the job posting, and compensation decisions are dependent on each applicant's experience, skills and abilities.

This role is eligible for additional incentives, including an annual bonus. These rewards are allocated based on level, impact and performance in the role.
