The Role
Are you an experienced UX Researcher with a deep passion for wealth management and a keen eye for innovation? If so, we invite you to join Addepar, a rapidly growing FinTech firm specializing in innovative wealth management solutions.
As a Senior UX Researcher, you will play a pivotal role in understanding our users' needs, challenges, and expectations, ensuring our products deliver the best possible experience, and driving outstanding business outcomes. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, you will be responsible for driving user research and using these research insights to guide product decisions.
Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.
The current range for this role is $119,000 - $186,000 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage end-to-end UX research projects, responsible for planning, execution, analysis, and reporting of qualitative and quantitative data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define research questions, develop comprehensive research plans, and prioritize research initiatives that align with business objectives.
- Transform research insights into actionable recommendations that shape product strategy and guide design decisions with a user-centric approach.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our user base, staying abreast of industry trends and analyzing competitors' offerings to drive continuous product innovation.
- Present research findings and strategic recommendations to effectively communicate the value of UX and encourage alignment on priorities and objectives.
- As a mentor and guide, encourage continuous learning and growth for junior team members in the UX research and broader design team.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience in UX research, preferably within the Fintech or wealth management industry
- Expertise in various research methods, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and contextual inquiry.
- Ability to choose and apply appropriate methods to effectively gather user insights and proficiency in analyzing data to derive significant insights to drive decision-making and product improvements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and drive decision-making.
- A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving, with a strong focus on applying user-centered design principles and partnering cross-functionally.
- Demonstrates high adaptability to shift priorities along with strong prioritization skills to balance short-term tactical work with long-term strategic goals.
- Education in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Human Factors, or a related field.
