The Role

The Navigator team at Addepar is growing!

Navigator is a quantitative liquidity risk projection tool that is one of the key components of Addepar's multi-product ecosystem. Brought into the Addepar family as part of an acquisition in 2021, Addepar has continued to double down on investing in this critical add-on, as we've scaled well beyond the multi-million ARR goal first set for this product line.

As we continue to scale, a need has opened up for a hands-on Engineering Manager who would bring to bear their unique expertise with the existing Engineering team, with exciting opportunities to extend the scope for this role longer term, as the product continues to push onward into future global expansion mode.

Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.

The current range for this role is $158,000 - $248,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additionally, these ranges reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team of 3+ remote/onsite engineers with a mixed tenure level, applying well-thought out management techniques for driving performance and scaling the group.
  • Collaborate multi-functionally with product owners, designers, GTM teams, program managers and other Engineering leads to deliver for our clients.
  • Longer term: expand your skills to include managing into a global engineering organization, with opportunities for wider responsibilities related to the expansion of the team into a truly 24/7 global operation.

Our engineering stack is primarily composed of a Python backend with a React frontend; experience in these technologies is preferred, although there is some flexibility to learn on more in-depth around these technologies on the job.

Who You Are

  • 7+ years experience as a professional software engineer with at least 2+ years leading successful teams. A proven ability to collaborate with and mentor other specialists.
  • A strong, hands-on technical approach. A desire to demonstrate your technical expertise, and to focus and improve the abilities of those on your team.
  • Ability to drive delivery within predefined goal-setting and execution frameworks such as objectives & key results. We use well-defined and structured methodologies to deliver impactful business outcomes.

An ideal candidate will bring a background of building and scaling finance software within a product-focused, technology-forward organization.

PHISHING SCAM WARNING: Addepar is among several companies recently made aware of a phishing scam involving con artists posing as hiring managers recruiting via email, text and social media. The imposters are creating misleading email accounts, conducting remote “interviews,” and making fake job offers in order to collect personal and financial information from unsuspecting individuals. Please be aware that no job offers will be made from Addepar without a formal interview process. Additionally, Addepar will not ask you to purchase equipment or supplies as part of your onboarding process. If you have any questions, please reach out to TAinfo@addepar.com.
