Being a part of the AddeU Internship Program, you will be working on meaningful project(s) that you can feel proud of and present back to the company at the end of the experience. In addition to having a supporting manager and mentor, we have a fantastic onboarding program to get you acclimated and ready for your time with us. Fun events and super cool swag are also included!
At the moment, our 12-week internship experience is remote. Dates are currently set for May - August 2024 but please consult with your recruiter. Seeking Scotland students only.
The Role
We are currently seeking a Software Engineer Intern to join our Data Platform Team! In this role, you will have the opportunity to use the newest technology stacks to build the next generation of data platform which serves as the platform for all data processing in Addepar. You will be working with the cutting-edge technologies with big data, distributed data processing, and artificial intelligence.

Our software engineers come from a variety of backgrounds, ranging from Silicon Valley entrepreneurs to finance tech veterans. What You’ll Do
- Implement engineering solutions to address sophisticated problems; write well-designed, testable code.
- Lead the intern project’s priorities, deadlines, and work.
- Collaborate effectively with other engineers, product managers and collaborators on the intern project.
Who You Are
- Must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution (university must be located in the UK) & must be returning to school after internship
- Available to intern for the full 12 weeks
- Outstanding talent in software engineering. Ability to write high quality code.
- An outstanding learner to absorb new information and explore possible solutions in a fast pace environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid understanding of development standard processes and experience working in a team.
- Proficiency in programming languages Java or Python is a must
- Experience with Spark, Databricks is a big plus
- Linux proficiency, basic shell scripting and a solid grasp of systems level programming is a plus.
- Specific experience in or knowledge of financial data systems is a plus.
