This includes interactive telepresence, live broadcast, and recorded entertainment and experiences. Founded in May 2014, 8i has offices in Los Angeles, Chicago and New Zealand. In October of 2018, Hayes Mackaman became CEO and relaunched the company in 2019. Since then he’s focused on productizing core volumetric video technology closing deals with Softbank, LGU+, China Telecom, US Army, AIS, and CSIRO.
